Charles Whittaker (Trainer)

I grew up around horses, my father trained ptp’s, mother was a MFH, my sister is a dressage rider and I also have strong family links to the Wylye Valley pony club and Endurance racing. I have participating in most equestrian disciplines at one stage or another, was very good at Pony Club games but less successful as a jockey! I have been fortunate to own some quality horses Under Rules and I will never forget leading Taranis into the Cheltenham Festival winner’s enclosure. I have also owned winners in Ireland and France. I have all ways visited yards with the vision of training in the future, dating back to being in Kentucky as a member of the GB mounted games team some twenty years ago.

Hayley Whittaker (Assistant)

Hayley is my wife she has ridden since she was four, after school she focused on dressage, working abroad and riding professionally. Since the birth of her son Ronnie, she has been less committed to dressage and revisited her Pony Club days in Show jumping, Hunting XC etc. She is currently off games expecting our second child, but enjoyed cantering the horses in the spring, she is a great help around the yard. Her equine goals are to jump a fox hunter track and get back to a level of dressage again. Her current racehorse is Chaos who is missing her greatly, while her show jumper Lexi is getting fatter on her winter holiday.

Ronnie Hodge Roper (Yard boy)

Ronnie has developed a passion for horses being based on the farm, he has his own pony Molly. He aids with haying, watering and cycling around checking the horses when out.

Charlotte Whittaker (Mascot)

Charlotte loves being on the yard and we are surprised every day by her enthusiasm.
